Thirteen-year-old Alcatraz Smedry and his friends travel to the Great Library of Alexandria in search of Al's father and grandfather. They encounter dangerous enemies, including undead soul-stealing wraiths known as the Curators of Alexandria and a powerful mercenary called a Scrivener's Bone, who is part human and part machine. The story takes place in a 2008 novel by Brandon Sanderson.
