About “Polar Star”
Polar Star is a 1989 crime novel by Martin Cruz Smith, set in the Soviet Union during the late 1980s. It is a sequel to Gorky Park and follows former militsiya investigator Arkady Renko. The story takes place during the period of Perestroika, a time of political and social change in the Soviet Union.
