In 1959, Asa Asada, a spirited young girl from a large family in Nagoya, is kidnapped for ransom, an event that goes unnoticed by those around her. As a typhoon approaches the city, Asa encounters a burglar and forms an unexpected alliance with him in order to survive the storm.
