Stung by Caesar's remark that the Belgians are the bravest of all Gaulish peoples, an indignant Vitalstatistix travels north to settle the matter. Asterix and Obelix accompany him into Belgium, where the two tribes stage a contest to prove who can thrash the Romans more impressively.
