Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani was an Islamic scholar known for his extensive contributions to the science of hadith. He authored over 150 works covering topics such as hadith, history, biography, and jurisprudence, with his commentary on Sahih al-Bukhari, Fath al-Bari, being his most esteemed publication. He was recognized with honorific titles including Hafiz al-Asr and Shaykh al-Islam. He was born in 1372 and died in 1449.
