Abu Ishaq al-Tha'labi was an 11th-century Sunni Muslim scholar of Persian origin. He was a prominent Quranic exegete who authored the classical exegesis Tafsir al-Tha'labi and the qisas al-anbiya work Ara'is al-Majalis. He was also recognized as an expert in Quranic recitation, tradition, linguistics, history, literature, and theology. He died in November 1035.
