Abū Bakr Aḥmad ibn ʿAlī al-Rāzī, widely known as al-Jaṣṣās, was a leading Hanafi jurist and Qurʾān exegete in Baghdad. He served as the Mufti of Iraq and is best known for authoring Aḥkām al-Qur'ān. Al-Jaṣṣās was born in 918 and died in 981.
