Henri-Alban Fournier, known by the pseudonym Alain-Fournier, was a French author and soldier. He wrote the novel Le Grand Meaulnes, published in 1913, which is regarded as a classic of French literature and was adapted into film twice. The work draws on his childhood experiences. He died in 1914.
