Albert Payson Terhune (December 21, 1872 – February 18, 1942) was an American writer, dog breeder, and journalist. He is known for his novels that featured the adventures of his collies. Terhune was also a breeder of collies at his Sunnybank Kennels, and the lines of dogs bred there continue to exist in today's Rough Collies. His work as a writer and breeder contributed to his recognition in both literary and canine circles.
