Amish Tripathi is an Indian author best known for reimagining Hindu mythology through fiction, having gained widespread acclaim with his debut Shiva Trilogy, which centers on a mortal Shiva who rises to become a god. Born in 1974, he worked in financial services before turning to writing full-time after the phenomenal commercial success of The Immortals of Meluha. His mythological novels have sold millions of copies across India and abroad, making him one of the best-selling English-language authors in the country.
