Anatoly Naumovich Rybakov (1911–1998) was a Soviet and Russian writer, author of the anti-Stalinist Children of the Arbat trilogy, the novel Heavy Sand, and many popular children's books including Adventures of Krosh, Dirk, and Bronze Bird. One of his last works was the memoir The Novel of Memoirs, recounting the many people he met during his long life.
