Andrew Grant is the younger brother of bestselling thriller writer Lee Child, the pen name of James Dover Grant. After earning a degree in Drama and English Literature from the University of Sheffield, Grant founded a theatre company that produced original works, including a critically acclaimed performance at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. He spent fifteen years in telecommunications before leaving to pursue a career as a novelist. His debut novel, Even, featuring Royal Navy intelligence officer David Trevellyan, received positive reviews from Library Journal and Publishers Weekly. In 2020, Lee Child announced that Andrew would take over writing the Jack Reacher series under the pen name Andrew Child. The brothers planned to collaborate on future novels before Andrew intended to write independently. Andrew is married to novelist Tasha Alexander, and the couple resides on a nature preserve near Laramie, Wyoming.
