Arnold of Lübeck was a Benedictine abbot and chronicler who served as the first abbot of St. John's monastery in Lübeck from 1177. He secured four papal privileges for his monastery and acted as a papal delegate in the Bishopric of Schwerin. He authored the Chronica Slavorum and a Latin translation of The Deeds of Gregory the Sinner, dedicating the latter to William of Lunenburg. Arnold of Lübeck died in 1211.
