Aron Nimzowitsch was a Russian-born, Danish chess master and writer who played a central role in the development of hypermodern chess theory. Born on 7 November 1886, he was known for his contributions to chess strategy and his influential writings. Nimzowitsch was one of the leading figures among the hypermoderns, a group of players and theorists who challenged traditional chess principles. He died on 16 March 1935.
