Ben Logan was the author of the memoirs "The Land Remembers," "Christmas Remembered," and "The Empty Meadow," among other works. He was born in Seneca and grew up on a farm his mother named "Seldom Seen," which remained a central influence in his life and writing. He served in the Navy during the Second World War, where he was stationed on landing craft in the Mediterranean, and later worked in editing, radio, film, and television, including developing programs to address television's impact on children. His writings conveyed the stories and essence of the Wisconsin countryside, aiming to foster a wider appreciation for the land and its people.
