William Jefferson "Bill" Clinton, born William Jefferson Blythe III on August 19, 1946, was the 42nd President of the United States, serving from 1993 to 2001. At 46, he was the third-youngest president, following Theodore Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy. He was the first baby boomer president, born after World War II. His wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, is the current United States Secretary of State and previously served as a United States Senator from New York and a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008. Both Clinton and his wife are graduates of Yale Law School. After leaving office, Clinton was involved in public speaking and humanitarian work, founding the William J. Clinton Foundation. He wrote an autobiography titled My Life in 2004 and supported his wife's 2008 presidential campaign and President Barack Obama's campaign. In 2009, he was named United Nations Special Envoy to Haiti and later co-founded the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund following the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
