Caroline Emma Criado Perez is a British journalist and author. She launched the Women's Room project, a campaign to increase the presence of female experts in the media. She led a campaign against the removal of the only woman from British banknotes, resulting in the decision to feature Jane Austen on the £10 note. Her 2019 book Invisible Women: Exposing Data Bias in a World Designed for Men became a Sunday Times bestseller.
