Chandidas was a medieval Bengali poet associated with the composition of over 1250 poems centered on the love of Radha and Krishna in medieval Bengali. His works sometimes include bhanitas with sobriquets such as Baḍu, Dvija, and Dina, though it is unclear if these refer to the same individual. He was part of a Bengali Brahmin family of the Barendra clan, and some scholars suggest that the poems attributed to him may be the work of multiple individuals.
