Clyde Robert Bulla was an American author known for his literature for young readers. His first story, "The Donkey Cart," was published in 1946, marking the beginning of a career that spanned more than fifty years. He wrote children's novels throughout his life, including "The Chalk Box Kid," which was published in 1987 and became a finalist for the Texas Bluebonnet Award.
