Colleen Hoover is an American author born on December 11, 1979, in Texas, who rose to prominence writing emotionally intense new adult and contemporary romance fiction. She is best known for series such as Slammed and Maybe Someday, as well as standalone novels like It Ends With Us, which became a global phenomenon. Beyond writing, she founded The Bookworm Box, a non-profit book subscription service based in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
