Creophylus of Samos was a legendary early Greek epic poet who is said to have been a contemporary of Homer. He is credited with authoring the lost epic Capture of Oechalia. According to some accounts, Homer is believed to have given the poem to Creophylus in exchange for hospitality, while later sources claim that Panyassis of Halicarnassus stole it.
