Curzio Malaparte

Curzio Malaparte was an Italian writer, filmmaker, war correspondent, and diplomat. He is best known outside Italy for his works Kaputt and The Skin, which explore themes of war and morality. Kaputt is a semi-fictionalised account of the Eastern Front during the Second World War, while The Skin focuses on morality in the immediate post-war period of Naples. Malaparte was born in 1898 and died in 1957.
