Kamer Daron Acemoglu (born September 3, 1967) is a Turkish-American economist who has taught at MIT since 1993, currently the Elizabeth and James Killian Professor of Economics. He was named Institute Professor in 2019 and received the 2024 Nobel Prize in economic sciences.
