The Bulgarian poets and folklorists Dimitar Miladinow (1810–1862) and Konstantin Miladinow (1830–1862) used the name "Brüder Miladinow" in their joint publications, including their prestigious collection of Bulgarian folk songs. The Miladinov brothers were significant activists during the Bulgarian National Movement in Macedonia and are known for their collection of folk songs. Their collection remains one of the most important works in the history of Bulgarian folklore studies and has been reprinted multiple times. The collection is also credited with an important role in the historical narratives of North Macedonia. The brothers were involved in folklore research and education.
