Dorothy Garlock is a published author of 49 books who was born in Texas and has lived in Clear Lake, Iowa since 1955. She began her writing career in 1976 after a 14-year tenure as a bookkeeper and columnist for a local newspaper. Her works have been translated into 18 languages and published in 36 countries, and she has been recognized as an Outstanding Western writer. Her short stories were selected for a national newspaper series, and she was one of six authors chosen to launch a popular book line for Bantam Books.
