Duan Chengshi was a Chinese poet of the Tang dynasty, born in present-day Zibo, Shandong. He came from a wealthy family, being a descendant of the early Tang official Duan Zhixuan and the son of Duan Wenchang, a high official under Tang Xuanzong. His family background allowed him to obtain office without taking the imperial exams, and he was associated with poets such as Li Shangyin and Wen Tingyun. He died in 863.
