Elias Venezis (1904–1973) was a major Greek novelist; the name was the pseudonym of Elias Mellos. Born in Ayvalık (Kydonies) in Asia Minor, he died in Athens. His best-known works are Number 31328 and Aeolian Earth, and he is considered part of the Greek literary Generation of the '30s.
