1 standalone book

Edmond Eugène Alexis Rostand (1 April 1868 – 2 December 1918) was a French poet and dramatist. He was associated with neo-romanticism and is best known for his 1897 play Cyrano de Bergerac. His works often contrasted with the naturalistic theatre of the late nineteenth century. Another of his plays, Les Romanesques (1894), was adapted into the 1960 musical comedy The Fantasticks. Rostand's contributions to French literature remain significant, particularly in the realm of dramatic poetry.
