Eiríkr Oddsson

Eiríkr Oddsson was an Icelandic skald of the 12th century who authored Hryggjarstykki, one of the works included in the Morkinskinna compilation. Very little is known about his life, but his writings indicate that he was an exceptional witness to the rebellion led by the Norwegian pretender Sigurd Slembe and his fate. His work provides insight into the political events of his time.
