Eliyahu de Vidas was a 16th-century rabbi in Ottoman Palestine. He was a disciple of Moses ben Jacob Cordovero and Isaac Luria and known for his expertise in the Kabbalah. He wrote the pietistic work Reshit Chochmah, which reflects kabbalistic and traditional sources. De Vidas lived in Safed and Hebron and was part of a group of prominent kabbalists in Hebron during the late 16th and early 17th centuries.
