Ernest Leopold Ahrons (1866–1926) was a British engineer and author on railway locomotives. He is most noted for The British Steam Railway Locomotive 1825–1925, published posthumously in book form, and for a series in The Railway Magazine on locomotive and train working in the latter part of the nineteenth century. He is credited with Steam Locomotive Construction and Maintenance, part of Pitman's Technical Primers.
