Eugen von Böhm-Bawerk

Eugen von Böhm-Bawerk was an Austrian-school economist who served as the Minister of Finance of Austria between 1895 and 1904. He is known for developing the theory of Roundaboutness, which highlights the role of time in capital investments and productivity. Böhm-Bawerk also formulated an interest rate theory based on time preference and wrote a critical analysis of Marxism and the labor theory of value. He was born in 1851 and died in 1914.
