Francis Orpen Morris (1810-1893), credited here as F. O. Morris, was an Anglo-Irish clergyman and "parson-naturalist" who wrote children's books as well as works on natural history and heritage buildings. He was a pioneer of the movement to protect birds from the plume trade and co-founded the Plumage League.
