Farrukhmard

1 standalone book

Farrukhmard was a 7th-century Iranian writer, the son of a certain Bahram, who authored the Madigan-i Hazar Dadistan, a crucial part of the collection of legal documents used during the Sasanian period. He completed the book around 620, during the reign of the Sasanian king Khosrow II, drawing on the archives of his native city of Gur as well as some privately owned archives. Nothing more is known of him, and he probably died in the 7th century.
