Ferdinando Galiani was an Italian economist and a leading figure of the Enlightenment. He was known in French contexts as Abbé Galiani and was described by Friedrich Nietzsche as "a most fastidious and refined intelligence" and "the most profound, discerning, and perhaps also the filthiest man of his century." Galiani lived during the 18th century, contributing to economic thought during the Enlightenment era.
