Fionn Murtagh is a Professor of Data Science at the School of Computing and Engineering, University of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. He holds academic qualifications including a BA, BAI, MSc(Dubl), PhD(Paris), and Habil.(Strasbourg). He is a member of the Royal Irish Academy and previously served as Head of Department and Head of School at other universities. He is also the Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Data Science, which is to be established at the University of Huddersfield.
