Fyodor Sologub, born Fyodor Kuzmich Teternikov, was a Russian Symbolist poet, novelist, translator, playwright, and essayist. He was also known as Theodor Sologub. Sologub was the first writer to introduce the morbid and pessimistic elements of European fin de siècle literature and philosophy into Russian prose. He was a Russian writer who lived from 1863 to 1927.
