1 standalone book

George Ivanovich Gurdjieff, born circa 1866-1877 and died 1949, was a mystic, philosopher, spiritual teacher, and composer of Armenian and Greek descent, born in Alexandrapol (now Gyumri), Armenia. He taught that most humans do not possess a unified consciousness and live in a hypnotic "waking sleep," but that it is possible to awaken to a higher state of consciousness and achieve full human potential, a method he called "the Work" or the "Fourth Way."
