Godfrey Higgins

Godfrey Higgins was an English magistrate and landowner who advocated for social reform and wrote on ancient myths. He was a historian and antiquarian known for his work Anacalypsis, which explored commonalities among religious myths and traced them to the lost religion of Atlantis. He has been described as a political radical, reforming county magistrate, and idiosyncratic historian of religions. Higgins was born in 1772 and died in 1833.
