Al-Hakim al-Nishapuri (933–1014), also known as Ibn al-Bayyiʿ, was a Persian Sunni scholar and the leading hadith traditionist of his age, frequently called the "Imam of the Muhaddithin" and the "Muhaddith of Khorasan." Renowned for his expertise in hadith criticism, he was regarded as the foremost hadith master of his time; al-Daraqutni considered him superior in the science of hadith to Ibn Manda.
