1 series 3 books in order

Herbert Spencer (1820-1903) was an English polymath active as a philosopher, psychologist, biologist, sociologist, and anthropologist. He coined the expression "survival of the fittest" in Principles of Biology (1864) after reading Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species, and he saw evolution as extending into sociology and ethics. He is credited in our catalog with the three volumes of The Study of Sociology. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
