Howard Jacobson is a British author and journalist. He was born in Manchester, England, and studied at Cambridge. His novels include The Mighty Walzer, which won the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize, and Who’s Sorry Now? and Kalooki Nights, both longlisted for the Man Booker Prize. His most recent novel is The Act of Love. Jacobson is also a respected critic and broadcaster. He writes a weekly column for the Independent and lives in London.
