Isidore Sydney Falk was an American public health medical economist who dedicated over 60 years to health care advocacy. He worked as a bacteriologist, professor of public health at Yale University, and government administrator, and was involved in efforts to enact the Social Security system. Falk was known for his activism in support of national health insurance and contributed to health care policy as a researcher and consultant. He was born in 1899 and died in 1984.
