Abū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn Abī Zarʿ al-Fāsī was a 14th-century Maghrebi historian known as the presumed author of the influential medieval history of the Maghreb, Rawd al-Qirtas, which was said to have been written at the instigation of Marinid Sultan Abu Sa'id Uthman II. He is associated with the city of Fes, where he likely lived and worked. His work remains a significant source on the history of the Maghreb during the medieval period.
