Ignatius Donnelly

Ignatius Donnelly was an American politician and writer who served as a U.S. representative. He is known for his theories on Atlantis, catastrophism, and Shakespearean authorship, which are considered pseudoscientific and pseudohistorical. Donnelly's work in these areas remains controversial and is not supported by mainstream scholarship. He was born in 1831 and died in 1901.
