Isak Dinesen, also known as Karen Blixen, was a Danish writer who authored works in both Danish and English. She is most recognized for Out of Africa, a memoir detailing her experiences living in Kenya, and the short story Babette's Feast, which was adapted into an acclaimed film. Out of Africa was published under the title Den afrikanske Farm in Danish, and her collection Seven Gothic Tales was known as Syv fantastiske Fortællinger in Danish. Her work has been widely appreciated, with several of her stories receiving critical and cinematic recognition.
