Jack Halberstam, also known as Judith Halberstam, is an American academic and LGBT+ activist who is Professor of American Studies and Ethnicity, Gender Studies, and Comparative Literature and Director of the Center for Feminist Research at the University of Southern California, having previously taught at UC San Diego. A gender and queer theorist, Halberstam wrote Female Masculinity (1998).
