Dallas William Mayr, known by his pen name Jack Ketchum, was an American author of horror fiction. He was awarded four Bram Stoker Awards and received three additional nominations. His novels, including Off Season, Offspring, and Red, were adapted into films. In 2011, Ketchum was honored with the World Horror Convention Grand Master Award for his contributions to the horror genre. He was born on November 10, 1946, and died on January 24, 2018.
