1 standalone book

Jean Baptiste Say was an economist and businessman known for his liberal views and advocacy of competition, free trade, and the removal of restraints on business. He was born in Lyon, France, in 1767, and after early experiences in England and involvement in French revolutionary affairs, he established his reputation as a publicist through his periodical La Décade philosophique, littéraire, et politique. His principal work, Traité d'économie politique, was published in 1803, and he was later removed from his position in 1804 for refusing to compromise his convictions under Napoleon’s regime.
