Jerome Lawrence was an American playwright and author. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1937 and from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1939. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army and partnered with Robert Edwin Lee to help create Armed Forces Radio. He collaborated with Lee on screenplays and musicals throughout their lifetimes until Lee's death in 1994.
